An Xtream Codes login connects your player to the provider's server using three pieces of information: a server URL, a username and a password. Compared with an M3U playlist, it's shorter to type and usually loads live channels, on-demand content, series and the program guide automatically. See the comparison in our M3U and Xtream Codes comparison.

"Xtream Codes" here refers to the widely used login format supported by many IPTV players. Player labels include "Xtream Codes", "Xtream API" or "Login with Xtream".

What you need

From your provider (IPTV Apollo customers: the access details provided after activation):

FieldExample format
Server URLhttp://example-server.com:8080 or https://example-server.com
UsernameProvided by your provider
PasswordProvided by your provider

Step-by-step

  1. Open your player and choose Add playlist or Add account.
  2. Select Xtream Codes / Xtream API as the type.
  3. Name the account (for example, "Apollo").
  4. Enter the server URL exactly as provided:
    • Include http:// or https://
    • Include the port (such as :8080) only if it's in your details
    • Don't add paths like /get.php unless your provider tells you to
    • No trailing spaces
  5. Enter the username and password. Both are usually case-sensitive.
  6. Select Add, Login or Connect.
  7. Wait while the player downloads categories, channels, VOD and guide data.

What should appear

After a successful login, most players show separate sections for:

  • Live TV (with groups)
  • Movies / VOD
  • Series
  • EPG / TV guide (often automatic)

What appears depends on what your subscription includes and how your player presents it.

Tips

  • Use copy and paste wherever possible to avoid typos. On TVs, use the platform's phone app keyboard or a player that accepts details from a phone.
  • Check the device's date and time. Badly wrong clocks can cause secure connections to fail.
  • Set EPG update frequency to daily in the player's settings. See setting up the program guide.
  • Keep your details private. Your username and password give access to your connections.

After setup

Tune your player's decoder and buffer settings with how to configure an IPTV player, then organise favourites with organizing channels and favorites.

Still can't connect? IPTV Apollo customers can contact support — include your player name and the exact error message, but never your password.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a port number in the server URL?

Only if your provider includes one. If your details show something like :8080 after the address, include it exactly. If no port is given, leave it out.

What's the difference between 'Xtream Codes' and 'Xtream API' in a player?

They usually refer to the same login method. Different players use different labels for it.

This guide is for general information. Third-party apps and device menus change over time; if something looks different on your device, check the app or manufacturer's own documentation. Brand names belong to their respective owners.
